Today we face a new kind of slavery. And it is happening in our own backyard. We used to think Human Trafficking was only prevalent in Asia and in other parts of the world. But the reality is that Orange County is now one of the premiere locations for human trafficking.

 

Our children are at risk. Children and teens are being kidnapped or deceived and lied to by money hungry pimps, brutally abused and enslaved for profit. Their owners are engaged in a multi-billion-dollar industry because there is a high demand. What can be done?

 

Come and find out what others are doing to address this horrific practice and join in the fight! Meet the experts who are working to create awareness, providing rescue opportunities and creating healing after care sites as well as teaching prevention strategies. With God’s help, we can set these enslaved victims free and bring healing and restoration.

 

The class will cover all aspects of Human Trafficking:

• What is Human Trafficking?

• Who is at risk?

• What can we do about it?

 

Experts in the field will present their approach to fighting Human Trafficking and will provide information about opportunities to volunteer. Both men and women are needed to help those that are at risk and survivors in areas such as mentoring, transportation, fundraising. Men are needed to provide a positive male role model to those that have not had that in their life.
