There are times when loneliness, depression and isolation seem like the only way to live. It is in these dark times of the soul that it is critical to have a friend; someone who takes the time to hear you and "come along side" without judgement or ridicule. This relationship is at times, the only solution to the difficulties of life.

This why Fresh Beginnings has created "Life Support." A ministry dedicated to be a friend when needed. It is an individual "one on one" ministry supported by trained and caring people who have a heart for people in need. 

In "life support" we are friends and sometimes mentors. We never "rescue, " rather seek to empower people who have given up on life; maybe not to the point of suicide, but no longer have a desire to strive to make life better today than yesterday. They no longer dream or feel they have a purpose in life. Through job loss, possessions or family, the darkness they fell cannot be defeated, and life is expected the way it is.

The Life Support Mentor works individually with these people.  We seek out those people who are in darkness and want change. Through our efforts and empowerment, they find a small glimmer of light that provides an entrance to the supernatural power of God to work in their lives.

This mentoring assignment is a calling. Is the Holy Spirit tugging at your heart?

Bill Nelson will give you the nuts and bolts of this special mentoring assignment; from what to say at a lunch table with a homeless person, to how to discover the root pain, learning to identify addictions and mental illness, where to find housing, and personal safety tips. This includes making a plan and implementing  in a way that it can be received.
